Why can’t they just vacation normally like adults?

We run a youth football program and are getting ready to start a couple fundraisers. My question is: We were going to give a pizza party to the team who sells the most, but one of the other fundraisers already is doing that, so I need to come up with another kind of party for the kids. Any ideas would greatly be appreciated.

If atheists and agnostics don’t like the Boy Scouts, why don’t they start their own youth organization, with their own requirements for membership?
My point is that if someone (whoever that might be) doesn’t like or care for the Scouts point of view, then they should just be involved with other groups or start their own.
Susan…the Supreme Court also ruled in 2000 that the Scouts have the right to set the membership requirements for youth and leaders.
Francis…I don’t know the answer. I want to know why (some) atheists/agnostics seem to want to attack the Scouts rather than start an organization that caters to their needs. As some have pointed out, for some troops/crews/packs, it’s not a big deal. Others have pointed out that, many Scout groups are chartered by non-religious groups. Others added that their are other viable groups that youth can join.
Good for you, Schnurburt! Now please channel your energy into your group instead of complaning about the Scouts.

It seems this poor boy couldnt go on their mission trip to Bosnia. He ended up going postal on the Youth mission church that told him he couldnt go because he heard “voices”. When you mix religion with young people bad things can happen, and when you mix religion with psyco young people terrible things can happen. Do you think we should wait to impose religion on people until they are old enough to make up their mind?

I’m planning on going away my junior year with the Rotary Youth Exchange Program, but my mom is having doubts because the program hasn’t been very organized so far. Any good/bad experiences? (I hope plenty of good ones!)
